Building a sustainable future requires more than talk—it requires proof. That's why AquaCredit is thrilled to showcase the tangible results from our initial 2025 pilot projects, demonstrating how our blockchain technology is already turning water savings and production into verifiable, valuable digital assets.

These early deployments confirm that the AquaCredit Box is successfully connecting the physical world of water infrastructure to the power of decentralized finance, one cubic meter at a time.

Pilot Project Highlights: Two Case Studies in Action

Our first year of pilots focused on two distinct, real-world applications to prove the system’s versatility and accuracy. Combined, these initial projects are expected to tokenize roughly $10,000\ \text{m}^3$ of water in the first year.

Case Study 1: The City Water Reuse Pilot

  • The Challenge: A city needed a robust, auditable system to track and incentivize the efficiency of its municipal wastewater treatment facility.

  • The Solution: We partnered with the city to install the AquaCredit Box directly into a treatment facility. The Box now autonomously verifies the volume of recycled water.

  • The Outcome: This pilot is generating credits from approximately 5,000\ of recycled water, providing the city with verifiable data for its sustainability reporting.

Case Study 2: The Eco-Hotel Pilot

  • The Challenge: A resort was looking for a way to track, cut, and monetize its high water usage, specifically through its greywater systems. The hotel needed to cut water use.

  • The Solution: We deployed an AquaCredit Box on their greywater recycling system.

  • The Outcome: The resort successfully used AquaCredit for greywater recycling. A hotel facilities manager shared, “Using AquaCredit, we tracked and monetized 8,000\  of water savings last year, turning our conservation efforts into a new asset for the company,” showing that the system issued 8,000\  of tokens in a year.

The Impact: Translating Water Saved into Real Value, Tokenized Water

These early efforts prove our core mission: verified water conservation creates measurable, financial value.

  • Financial Proof: The combined $10,000\ of tokenized water represents a credit value of approximately €0.2 million.

  • Environmental Impact: To put this in perspective, $10,000\ of saved or produced water is enough to supply roughly 200 households for an entire month.

  • Commitment to Conservation: To jumpstart this new market, our development company, GreenChain, provided grants to early pilot participants. This strategic move underscores our long-term commitment to environmental impact over short-term profit, validating the platform's potential.

Our 2026 Pipeline

These initial pilots provide crucial social proof that the AquaCredit concept is robust and functional. We are now ready to scale:

  • Scaling Target: In 2026, AquaCredit aims to scale to approximately 50,000\ of tokenized water across a wider range of projects.

  • New Technologies: This expansion includes exciting new deployments of HydroFusion atmospheric water generators on farms in Southern Europe, pushing the boundaries of water creation and conservation.

We invite organizations and innovative projects to join the next wave of water sustainability.
